Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat is an Indian historical drama show airing on Colors TV .[2] The serial is created and written by author and screenwriter Ashok Banker . It stars Manoj Joshi, Pallavi Subhash, Prinal Oberoi, Siddharth Nigam and Sameer Dharmadhikari. The show is based on the life of Indian Emperor of Maurya Dynasty Ashoka (304–232 BCE).The historical serial is produced by Contiloe Entertainment, and directed by Prasad Gavandi. The serial started on 2 February 2015 with 1 hour telecast duration for first 20 episodes
